College Credit Plus Night
College Credit Plus (CCP) night is around the corner for Crestview Local
Schools. On Wednesday, Feb. 21st from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. College Credit Plus seminar
will take place in the High School. The seminar will be taking place in the school’s
media center. There will also be a table outside the media center for scholarship
information. Students in 7th grade to students who will be seniors next school year who
plan on taking CCP are required to come.
This seminar will be an overview of College Credit Plus. Information on what College
Credit Plus is and the requirements will be addressed to the parents and students.
Many representatives from Ohio State University, North Central State College, and
Ashland University will be attending the seminar and talking about the requirements
each college has. Each representative will speak one at a time.
On top of this career coach Pam Stimpert will be there to talk to parents and students.
She will be around to help with any questions that may be addressed. She will also help
with fillingout FASFA’s.
There will also be a table where personnels from the Richland County Foundations will
be talking about scholarships. School Counselor Lisa Brown highly recommends that
parents and students take time to talk about the amazing scholarship opportunities for
College.
“CCP Night is a great opportunity for Crestview families to learn about College Credit
Plus, including CCP courses that are offered within our own building. We are continuing
to expand our in-house CCP course options with the addition of Chemistry for next
school year added to the CCP Math and English courses we currently already offer our
students,” said high school principal Shawn Skelly.
Again this night is required to students who will be 7th to 12th grade next school year
who plan on taking CCP. If you are part of this group and are unable to attend, please
