Last night at the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Central Region Fall Conference dinner, Deb R. Bernhard, Administrative Assistant for Crestview Local Schools in Richland County, received the Exemplary School Employee Award. The Central Region of OSBA annually chooses to honor a nominated individual who is deemed critical to the success of a school district and/or educational service center. The Crestview Local School District Board of Education nominated Deb for this award, noting her exceptional service for the past 30 years with the past 20 as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.
Here is an excerpt from the nomination describing Deb and her work:
Deb, a name that is used by most people in the community, has been the “face” of the Crestview District. She lives in the district and knows the community well. If there is a question about the community or events from the past, she is a valuable resource. She is a Crestview Cougar through and through. She has had two children graduate from Crestview and two grandchildren who now attend.
She can be seen attending athletic events, often collects tickets, and works in the concession stand. She works tirelessly for the district. When a job needs completed, she works whatever time is needed to get it done on time. She often works from home to try to stay on top of her numerous responsibilities.
The Crestview Local School District is grateful to have Deb supporting its work and purpose to meet the needs of our educators and students every day.
